The retail store TeamSportia in Gävle was redesigned to feature two levels with access from the ground level. The venue had to provide accessibility to customers and staff so that shoppers, personnel and goods could be transported between levels. The solution involved was to place the lift in the middle of the store, alongside a staircase. A lift shaft with combined glass and steel panels designed to provide an airy feeling and increased visibility when in use. Both the property owner and the store staff were satisfied with the solution. The elevator meets current accessibility requirements, its functional and reliable and has increased the business value of the premises.
